Hello League Players!

Next weekend is the “In-Season League Tournament”. This is a new event in 2025-2026, so we are sending this email to explain how it all works.

• This is a team tournament for all of the Division 1 (Tuesday) and Division 2 (Thursday) league teams
• There is no extra charge for this tournament – it is included as part of your league fee
• It is a “blank slate” – your current standings in the regular league have no bearing on this tournament
• Games will be played just like they are on league nights, and the order will be 1-2-3-4. For example, if Team A is playing Team B:

o   Team A Position 1 will play Team B Position 1

o   Team A Position 2 will play Team B Position 2

o   Team A Position 3 will play Team B Position 3

o   Team A Position 4 will play Team B Position 4

• We have set up brackets for the tournament – see attached. The game times are for the team match, and as mentioned above, the order will be 1-2-3-4(Click here on SportyHQ to see your draw)
• With how the bracket works, each team will be guaranteed 3 matches(other than top-seeded teams)
• Per usual, winners ref the next match
• Social after matches are done on Friday (venue TBD)
• Coffee and light breakfast foods on Saturday morning

What we need from you:

• Coordinate as a team that will be playing. You don’t need to have the same lineup for all matches – if someone can make it on Friday but not on Saturday, you can swap them in and out
• Team captains let Coach Gyan know if a) you have extra players for some matches and/or b) if you need subs for any matches

We believe this tournament will be a great way to secure solid matches at the start of 2026 and strengthen our squash league community.
